There are a lot of choices when it comes to holiday entertainment in Orlando. In fact, I wrote a whole post about it! And for those traveling to Orlando for a Christmas vacation, how should you spend your limited time? So is Mickey’s Christmas Party worth it? If you’re a long time reader, I bet you’ll know the answer. But I’m going to tell you all the reasons! Disney invited us to check out opening night of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. So I am here to tell you all the details from this festive event!

What exactly is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?

So for those that are new to the concept of “parties” at Disney World, let’s break it down. In fact, it was my 10 year old daughter’s first time at a Disney Party. And even though she’s been an annual passholder for her whole life, she had some confusion! Here’s what you need to know:

There’s so much to do at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you actually can’t do it all. So you should review the event guide and make a plan early in the evening. Are attractions with low wait times your favorite? Do you want to see festive characters? And don’t miss the fireworks and stage shows! Make a list of priorities so you can be sure to check off your must do’s.

So is Mickey’s Christmas Party Worth It?

Ticket prices for this event range from $159 to $199 for adults. Annual passholders can get $10 off per ticket on certain nights. So this event is not cheap. But it’s so festive and merry! It is my favorite Disney party by far. The beauty of the snow on Main Street, U.S.A. Walking right on some of our favorite attractions without waiting. Experiencing Space Mountain with flashing red and light lights and holiday music. Watching my kiddos dance with some of their favorite characters. The list goes on and on. It’s so special.

Of course, a regular day at Magic Kingdom is also incredibly special. And we are blessed to have regular days at the Parks quite often. But there’s just something about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The memories from these parties last a lifetime. My 14 year old son hadn’t been to this event in several years. But he talked about it like it was yesterday. And he had favorites that he wanted to repeat when we attended last night. I just know we will all be talking about this night for years to come. So is Mickey’s Christmas Party worth it? Just yes.

Are there fireworks? And more questions answered.
