As I have shared in a previous post, Magical Dining is a wonderful promotion, happening in Orlando, from August 24-September 30. During this magical dining month, select Orlando restaurants offer three course, prix fixe dinners for just $35. Also, through Visit Orlando, one dollar from each meal will benefit Best Buddies and the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida. Who doesn’t love a delicious meal that supports a great cause?
We recently had the pleasure of visiting Ocean Prime to learn more about their Magical Dining menu. This renowned Orlando steak and seafood restaurant features an award-winning wine list, a beautiful setting, excellent waitstaff, and delicious food. I have had the pleasure of visiting Ocean Prime in the past, and each time has been as excellent as the last.
On the Orlando Prime Magical Dining menu, there are delicious options for each course, and you can check out their full Magical Dining menu online. The setting at Ocean Prime is upscale, yet relaxed. Our wonderful waitress, Michelle, was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive. She was available to answer any questions we had, and we never felt rushed, even though we our meal and time with dear friends for hours. When I am dining out, I repeatedly empty my water glass. Thanks to Michelle, my glass never even had the chance to become fully empty. I’m sure it was refilled at least five or six times, and I never once had to request that it be done. This is a sign of an excellent server!
During our meal, we unanimously chose the Lobster Bisque for our appetizer. Although I don’t generally eat much meat, I always make an exception for lobster bisque, and this was an excellent decision at Ocean Prime. I’ve enjoyed a great deal of different varieties of lobster bisque during our travels, and this was honestly one of the best! During this course, you can also enjoy the delicious pretzels rolls and bread basket that are brought to the table. The pretzel rolls were amazing! Don’t skimp on the carbs at this meal. Each bite is worth it.
Next, we enjoyed our main dish. Our friends ordered the Petite Filet Mignon and the Slow Braised Short Ribs, which they both thoroughly enjoyed and also noted their excellent preparation. My husband ordered the Teriyaki Salmon, and he raved about his entree as well. I inquired about a vegetarian option for the Magical Dining menu, and a delicious Sweet Potato Ravioli was offered. I checked with the executive team at Ocean Prime, and was assured that this is an option for anyone visiting for Magical Dining. This was delicious as well, and was such a large portion, I was able to take some home to enjoy the next day!
For dessert at Ocean Prime, three of us enjoyed the Peanut Butter Pie, and one chose the Five Layer Carrot Cake. All of these options were amazing! Peanut Butter Pie is one of my favorite desserts, and this was one was very well prepared and also offered something unique with the peanut butter mousse filling an outer layer of chocolate. When you are choosing the Magical Dining prix fixe menu, you might be concerned that the portions are smaller for such an amazing price. This is certainly not the case at Ocean Prime! Each dish is generously portioned, and an excellent value for the price.
A visit to Ocean Prime is a good idea at any time of the year. During Magical Dining, it’s an absolute must-do. You have until the end of September to check out their Magical Dining menu!
