The Basics

Jekyll Island is a coastal community and the southernmost island off the coast of Georgia. It is 5,500 acres and home to a great deal of history.

Jekyll Island Beach

Jekyll Island boasts 8 miles of white sandy beaches.

Driftwood Beach is a must do! This picturesque part of the island is so unique!  It’s an easy bike ride from downtown, with fully paved  bike trails the entire way.

Our favorite place to stay on the island is the Jekyll Island Club Resort. And from there, you can rent bikes from the best!

So Much History

Jekyll Island is full of history that you can explore in many different ways!

See history by bike, on a trolley tour, by car, or by foot!

The Jekyll Island Club Resort was formerly home to The Club, which opened in 1888. At the height of it’s popularity, and when all members were present, this clubhouse housed one-sixth of the world’s wealth in one location.

Historical Trolley Tour

Take a trolley tour from the Jekyll Island Museum. There are several different tours available, and they will take you around the most historical places on the island, with a knowledgeable tour guide.

Jekyll Island Things to Do with Kids

So much to do with kids! Summer Waves Water Park, mini golf, parks, and more!

There are so many Jekyll Island things to do for families and kids. We love this island, and go back year after year!
